Make sure you have a Leeds locksmith

Get a locksmith in Leeds before you need one. It’s a good idea to get a genuine local locksmith before you actually need one.  If you leave it until you have an emergency lock problem you will probably not have time to search for a local locksmith properly and this could result in calling a national company from out of town. National locksmiths tend to be more expensive because they need to cover the costs of advertising and the cost of their employees and numerous vehicles ect.  In addition you could also end up phoning a local locksmith in Leeds that turns out to be very expensive compared to others. So what can you do to ensure this doesn’t happen to you? Firstly you can look online or in the telephone directories for adverts which look local to you i.e. a local phone number or a local address but this doesn’t guarantee that they are local to you as generic phone numbers can be bought very cheaply and sometimes fake addresses can be used. If you are looking online and you have found a locksmith you think is local do some digging around to see if you can find any reviews either directly through their website or on things like Google places and free listing sites like free index and touch local. Once you have gathered enough information about the company give them a call and ask how much the hourly rate is. You can usually tell within a few seconds if it’s a national locksmith company or locksmith call centre by the background noise, obviously if there are lots of phones ringing and people talking its very likely that this is a locksmith call centre. When you are asking for the hourly rates always remember to ask if the rate quoted is the same for day time and night time as they usually differ. Also ask if that price is fully inclusive of VAT and if there is any additional call out charge. Once you have compiled a list of locksmiths that are genuinely local to you and there prices sort that list into the top 5 quotes but remember the cheapest will not always mean that they are the best locksmiths Leeds so have a look online and get as much information on each company as possible, i.e. good reviews ect. Finally when you have sorted through the 5 remaining locksmiths in Leeds choose the two that came out top of your list and save both their numbers into your phone and address book. It’s always a good idea to pick two in case one of them is not working when you need there locksmith services or are too busy to attend quickly enough. All the views in this article are our own.
